Paul served as a Corporal in the 38th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division, U.S. Army during the Korean War.

He resided in Kent County, Delaware prior to the war.

He was seriously wounded by the enemy in South Korea on September 22, 1950 and returned to duty on January 2, 1951.

Paul was later "Killed in Action" while fighting the enemy in South Korea on March 15, 1951.

He was awarded a Purple Heart with one Oak Leaf Cluster.
