Leroy W. Seely, 80, of South Haven passed away Thursday, Feb. 4, 1997, at Florida Walker Hospital, Avon Park, FL. According to his wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date. Mr. Seely was born Nov. 29, 1916, in Bangor, the son of Frank and Florence (Whiting) Seely. He and his brother, Maxwell, owned and operated Arlington Heights Fruit Farm for 30 years and he retired as a salesman from Michigan Orchard Supply Co., South Haven. He was a member of the Simpson United Methodist Church, Bangor. He was a past master and life member of the Florida Coffinbury Lodge No. 309 F&AM, South Haven, and a life member of the Golden Rule Acacia No. 211 OES, South Haven. Roy had a lifetime of performing his music and sharing it with his many friends. Survivors include his wife, Ruth, whom he married Dec 31, 1937, in South Bend, IN; two sons - William L. Seely of Crossville, TN, and Robert E. Seely of Portage, MI; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and his brother, Maxwell of Grand Junction. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Donald.
