Carl Eber Wheeler, age 71 of Jackson, Ohio passed away on Friday morning January 6, 2012. Carl was born on March 9, 1940 to the late Oscar Wheeler, Sr. and Margaret Adams Wheeler Winigman. In addition to his parents Carl was preceded in death by his brother, Oscar (Buddy) Wheeler, Jr. and a sister Hester Wheeler Hilderbrand. Carl is survived by sisters Mildred Lee of Shiloh, Ohio; Elvarie (James) Rose of Jackson, Ohio with whom he made his home for the past 35 years; Adeline (William) Dever of Wellston, Ohio; Viola Hood of Jackson, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews, and cousins.
Carl could neither hear nor talk but he enjoyed traveling to see the country, watching the ocean at Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and eating out in restaurants. This is what he got out of life – what he could see and eat.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday January 10, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Rick Christman officiating. Calling hours will be held on Monday January 9, 2012 from the hours of 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.. Burial to be at Fairmount Cemetery.
