Mrs. Conn, of Ocala, Fla., formerly of McAlester, died Saturday at Ocala. She was 83. Mrs. Conn was born Nov. 10, 1906 in Bardwell, Texas, the daughter of Wiley and Minerva Venable Tinker. She and Glenn P. "Buster" Conn were married Dec. 8, 1935 at Muskogee. He preceded her in death Nov. 5, 1960. Mrs. Conn was an agent for Yellow Transit Freight Line and later worked as a bookkeeper for KNED Radio, retiring in 1984. Survivors include a son and daughter in law, James W. "Brick" and Janine Conn of Ocala, Fla.; a granddaughter, Amanda Conn and a grandson, Jeffrey Conn, both of Ocala; and two brothers, Roy "Tubby" Tinker of New Orleans, La. and R. B. Tinker of McAlester. She was also preceded in death by both parents; five brothers, Henry, Ed, Lonnie, John and Wiley Calvin Tinker, and a sister, Mary Bethune. Funeral services will be March 12, 1992 at Bishop Chapel of Memories. William J. Edwards will officiate. Arrangements under the direction of Bishop Funeral Home.
