Nina Alice Phillips, 88, of Mount Jackson, died Saturday, Feb. 12, 2011, at Life Care Center of New Market.

Mrs. Phillips was born April 13, 1922, in Orkney Springs, daughter of the late Simon and Cora Stidley Funkhouser.

She retired after 24 years from Bowman Apple Products Inc. in Mount Jackson and was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Orkney Springs.

Mrs. Phillips was preceded in death Dec. 2, 1990, by her husband, Lester Phillips, whom she married Aug. 16, 1952.

She is survived by a daughter, Linda Phillips of Mount Jackson; a son, Edward Phillips and wife, Jackie, of New Market; two grandchildren, Matt Phillips and wife, Kelly, of Woodstock and Mandy Lonas and husband, David, of Mount Jackson; and three great-grandchildren, Madison and Gracie Lonas and KeeAnn May.

She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Dellinger Funeral Home in Mount Jackson with Pastor Dave M. Casto officiating.
