Raymond Kenneth Comer of Minford died Feb. 1, 2004, at his residence in Minford. He was born Aug. 15, 1938, in Jackson County, OH, a son of Denver H. and Irene (Bloomfield) Comer. He married Virginia Ruth Copas Vest Comer Sept. 5, 1993; she survives. Also surviving are one son Kenny (Jodi) Webb; one stepson, John (Pam) Vest; six stepdaughters, Jenny (Wayne), Frances (Rocky), Mona (Russell), Lee (Ken), Gina (Ronnie), and Vicki (Steve); 23 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; five sisters, Helen, Fern, Judy Comer, Linda, and Joanne; and two brothers, Ernest "Tubb" and Virgil. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Harriet Ruth Sealy Comer on July 3, 1993; two brothers, Willard "Bill" and Russell "Buck"; and a great-grandchild (Darias Comer, #150905504). Funeral services will be conducted Feb. 4, 2004 in Minford. Burial will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery near Minford.
