MARION, Va. Herbert Wayne Hale, age 67, made his transition from Earth to Glory on Friday, August 14, 2015. Herb was born on April 16, 1948 to Corine Hale. He was a graduate of Scott Memorial High School and Wytheville Community College. He was a member of the Impact International Church in Marion, Va., where he worked diligently in serving others at God's Grace Food Pantry. He was preceded in death by his mother, Corine Hale; and a sister, Lula Hill. Herb was loved by many, and will be truly missed. He leaves behind his wife of 35 years, Carol Jane Hale of Marion; three children, Fallon Hale of Marion, Thomas (Rachel) Hale of Challenge, Calif., and Samantha Hale of Marion; stepchildren, Herbert Wayne Taylor Jr., Chynitt Robinson, and Robin France; and two sisters, Marilyn (Net) Hale, and the Reverend Greta (Dr. William Weldon) Weldon. Also a host of nieces, nephews and other loving family survive. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, August 18, 2015 from the Bradley's Funeral Home Chapel in Marion with Pastor Barry Taylor and Pastor Debra Taylor officiating. Inurnment will follow in the Rose Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 12 until 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
