Alice developed a gastric ulcer for which she had been seeing a doctor for about a month. She was expecting a child, but the ulcer caused an infection of the placenta which resulted in the death and miscarriage of the fetus. Septicemia soon caused her death also.

SQUIRES - Funeral service for Mrs. Alice Vera Dean Squires will be held at the Twentieth ward chapel tomorrow noon at 12:30 o'clock. The body will lie in state during the morning at the residence of David L. Dean [brother] 339 E. Street. Mrs. Squires died in Ogden Thursday.

SQUIRES: - Funeral service for Mrs. Vera Dean Squires, who died at the family residence in Ogden last Thursday, were held yesterday afternoon from the Twentieth ward chapel. Bishop C. C. Neslen officiated. Numerous friends and relatives attended the services. Interment was in city cemetery.
