Elaine V. (Slenker) Springer, 89, died Thursday, August 7, 2003 at York Lutheran Village at Sprenkle Drive. She was wife of the late Kenneth L. Springer, Sr. A funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Monday, August 11th at Heffner
Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd, York. Officiating will be Rev. Donald E. Mummert of Otterbein United Methodist Church of Spry. Burial will be held in Otterbein U.M. Cemetery, York Twp. Family will receive friends on Sunday, August 10th from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral chapel.
Mrs. Springer was born December 21, 1913 in Spry, the daughter of the late Joseph and Ida (Shellenberger) Slenker. Mrs. Springer was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
She is survived by her son, Kenneth L. Springer Jr., of Seven Valleys; five grandchildren;, Dr. Donald Woods, Elizabeth Eytchison, Kenneth L. Springer, III, Krista Springer and Jennifer Janssen; three great-grandchildren; two step grandchildren; five step great-grandchildren; one niece, Beth Lutz; and one nephew, Joseph Slenker. Mrs. Springer was preceded in death by her daughter, Donna L. Woods and her brother, Ralph Slenker.
