Joan C. Kuhlman, 95, died March 12, 2013 at Briar Hill Nursing Home in North Baltimore. Born October 21, 1917 in Fort Scott, Kansas to Fred & Edith (Baker) Norton.
She went to school in Tulsa, Oklahoma including one year of college at Tulsa University where she joined Delta Delta Delta Sorority. She moved to Findlay with her family in 1936 when her father was hired by Marathon.

Her brother, Herb (Marilyn) Norton and sister, Fredine (Al) Bloomingdale preceded her in death. She married Walter L. Kuhlman August 23, 1943, who also preceded her in death, April 12, 1995.

She completed her education at BGSU with a Masters of Education. She was a member of St. Michael the Archangel, Findlay.

Survived by John T. (Jo Ann) Findlay; Richard F. (Debbie) Madison, Ohio; William J. (Jodie) Needham, Mass.; Mary E. Harshfield, Findlay; Margaret C. Meyer, Findlay; Kathy A. (Scott) Klingler, Findlay. She had 18 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.

Joan was a lifelong baseball enthusiast, enjoyed fishing, bowling, sewing, knitting, dancing, politics, horses and travel. She witnessed much in her life including Charles Lindbergh flying under the bridge in St. Louis in 1928. She was a telephone operator, St. Michael's school teacher & a Realtor.

There will be a Catholic Mass followed by a Memorial service on April 20th at the downtown church. Exact time to be determined.
Due to Joan's desire to donate her body to U.T.M.C for research, there will be no burial.
