MAZOMANIE - Clinton H. Wallace, age 79, of Mazomanie, died on Tuesday, February 16, 1988, at Maplewood Nursing Home in Sauk City. He was born on February 11, 1909, in Iowa the son of George A. and Leona C. (Burdick) Wallace. Mr. Wallace was a veteran of World War II serving In the Army Corps of Engineers. Later, he was a heavy equipment operator for international engineers working throughout the world. Mr. Wallace was a very active sportsman and belonged to several gun clubs. His favorite hobby was trap shooting. Survivors include two brothers, Curtis and Frank (Mae) Wallace, both of Mazomanie; two sisters, Maxine Sandlin of Prairie du Sac, and Mayme Moc of Madison. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, George "Roscoe"; two sisters, Marion Sheldon, and Gwendolyn Pauley. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 19, 1988, at the ELLESTAD FUNERAL HOME In Black Earth, with Reverend Bev Ritland officiating. Friends may call from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 18, at the funeral home in Black Earth. Interment will be in Mazomanie Cemetery.
