Oma Shannon Akin, 94, died Sunday in an Augusta hospital.
Mrs. Akin, a native of Orlanda, Tenn., lived in Vienna for 33 years and had lived in Thomson for the past few years. She was a member of the Washington Heights Baptist Church in Thomyon (sic), the Women's Missionary Union and the Philharmonic Club.
Survivors include two sons, Johnny Akin of Vienna and R. C. Akin Jr. of Macon; two daughters, Helen Hattaway of Thomson and Virginia Steele of Wynton.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Vienna First Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the Vienna City Cemetery.
