Lucy Bailey, 69, of Panther, WV, passed away Friday, August 14, 2015, at her residence, following a long illness.
Lucy was born March 16, 1946, in Long Pole, WV, a daughter of the late Powell Trent (1914-1996) and Margaret "Margie" Lockhart-Trent (1914-Deceased). Lucy was a member of the Morning Star Regular Baptist Church. She previously worked in various businesses in Iaeger including, the Super America, the Iaeger Cash Market, and W & W Supermarket; she also worked as a US mail service carrier.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Bailey (1940-2002), one brother, Jimmy Trent (Deceased), and three sisters, Jean Trent-Deaner (Deceased), Susan Trent-Mora (Deceased), and Gaye Trent-Smith (Deceased).
Survivors include her son Fred Bailey and wife Tricia of the home; one granddaughter, Hunter (Ally) Bailey of the home; and three sisters, Marie Trent-Bailey of Ikes Fork, WV, Anne Trent-Shivley and husband Gary of Sissonville, WV, and Katherine Trent-Jackson and husband Cletus of Iaeger, WV.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, August 18, 2015, at 11 a.m., at the Chapel of Fanning Funeral Home in Iaeger, WV. Burial will follow in the Lockhart Cemetery on Brushy Fork at Long Pole near Iaeger, WV.
