Joe Don Lacy was born October 4, 1985 to Danny Ray and Jana Fay (Shephard) Lacy in Clinton, Oklahoma and passed away Monday, June 18, 2013 in the Integris Clinton Regional Hospital.


Joe Don was raised in Arapaho, OK and graduated form Arapaho High School in 2004. He was active in FFA while in high school and earned his State and American Farmer Degrees. He continued his education at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater and graduated with an Agriculture Leadership Degree in 2010. While in Stillwater, his friends knew him as the President of Alpha Parka Westa. He returned back home to farm with his family in the Arapaho area.


He loved his Harley, listening to Red Dirt music, taking an annual snowboarding trip, playing with his pal Sister Dog, and working on the farm. He lived by the phrase, "Work hard, play hard". 


One of Joe Don's favorite memories was attending rock concerts with his dad and getting to shake Brett Michaels' hand. 


He was a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church.


He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Donal and Nora Ann Shephard and paternal grandparents, Bob and Jonnie Bea Lacy.


He is survived by his parents, Dan and Jan Lacy, of Arapaho, OK; three sisters, Tami House and husband, Josh, of Clinton, OK and Jonnie Lacy, of Oklahoma City and Katie Lacy, of Stillwater; and grandmother Polly Lacy, of Yukon.


To his nephew, Kendin and niece, London he was known as Uncle Boo. 


Joe Don was also survived by hundreds of best friends. It was said that Joe Don never knew a stranger. He had a big smile and an infections laugh.
