Funeral service for Otis James "O.J." Wade, 86, of Emory, TX will be held 10:30am on Friday, August 7, 2015, at Emory United Methodist Church. Rev. David Diller will officiate. Interment will follow in Smyrna Cemetery.
Visitation will be on Thursday evening, 6:00-8:00pm at Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home.
Mr. Wade died at his residence on Monday morning, Aug 3, 2015.
He was born on Nov 25, 1928 in Emory, TX to Egbert and Jessie Northcutt Wade. He married Wilma Ada Wheatley in Emory on Aug 15, 1952. To this union a daughter and a son were born. During his working career, Mr. Wade worked as a quality control inspector on incoming materials with Texas Instruments. He was a member of the Emory United Methodist Church.
Survivors include: a daughter, Suzette Neal (Billy) of Bedford; a son, James Richard Wade (Tracy) of Long Valley, NJ; sisters, Daphene Vaught (Tom) of Kaufman and Sue McDonald (Jerome) of Point, TX; grandchildren, Allison Elaine Wade, Kristen Wren Wade, Jackson Dean Mapes, Amber Graham, and Ashley Neal; great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Olivia, Mason, Brycen, and Elijah; and numerous other loving family and friends
