Ronnie Hanson Lewis of Silo, entered this life on July 14, 1946 born to Elmer and Mary Elizebeth (Murry) Lewis. On August 12, 2015 at the age of 69 years and 29 days, Ronnie went home to his Lord and Savior.
Ronnie has lived in Bryan County for most of his life, graduating from Mead High School. Ronnie proudly served his country in the United States Army and fought in the Vietnam War. Ronnie was of the Baptist faith and spent his later years retired from truck driving. In his free time he loved to be outside, farming, ranching and most of all spending time with his loving family and friends. He will be truly missed by all that knew and loved him.
Preceding Ronnie in death are his parents, Elmer and Mary Elizebeth Lewis, sons, Leslie and Vinson Lewis; brothers, Conn, Togie, Russell, John and Chad; sister, Pearl.
Ronnie is survived by he former spouse, Mary Ann Lewis of Durant; children, Travis Wayne Lewis and wife Katy of Durant, Lacretia Ann Lewis of Durant, Jesse Ron Lewis and wife Melista of Durant; sister Margie Williams of West Jordan, UT, Ruth Slaten of Silo; brother, Jehu Lewis and wife Betty of Silo; grandchildren Amber, Nicole, Trevor, Cheyenne, Abby, Aniyah, Taloa and Kayley Craft; great grandchildren, Dayton and Keoni Beltran; along with numerous other family and friends.
Funeral Services to celebrate the life of Ronnie will be held Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the Brown's Funeral Service Chapel with Bro. Roger Speers and Bro. Eugene Ledford officiating. Interment will follow at Restland Cemetery in Silo with David Ledford, Travis Lewis, Jesse Lewis, Jehu Lewis, Peter Lewis, Jonathan Slaten serving as pallbearers.
