Sandra Elizabeth Powers, age 66 of Carrollton, passed away Sunday, August 16, 2015. She was born December 17, 1948 in Madison, Wisconsin to Wendell McCosh and the late Bonnie McCosh. She was a homemaker and a member of Kansas Baptist Church. Besides her mother, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Nicolette Renee Sullivan; and a granddaughter, Haley Nicolett Mayfield. She is survived by her husband, William Powers; daughters, Glenda Michele Stephens of Tallapoosa, and Candi Elizabeth Peterson (Jason) of Carrollton; three sisters; two brothers; and five grandchildren. Funeral service will be conducted Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at 2:00 PM from Lee’s Chapel with Rev. Homer T. Wilburn and Rev. John Miles an officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Lawrence Ivey, Ray Hudgins, Troy Chambers, Joe Bradley, Michael Mayfield, and Brandon Chambers.
