Rosa “Rose” Louise Haynes Scott of Hensley, Arkansas, was born March 23, 1929 at Hensley, the daughter of the late Joseph “Jody” and Ethel Mae Halbert Haynes. She was a member of East Union Missionary Baptist Church and was a homemaker. Rose had a love for life, and enjoyed bowling, dancing, and spending time at the Senior Citizen’s Center. Her greatest joy in life was her family, and she leaves with them a rich legacy of love and dedication. Mrs. Haynes died Saturday, August 15, 2015 at her home, at the age of 86. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John T. Scott; son, Scotty Scott; brothers, Elmo Haynes, John Haynes, Peck Haynes, and Ab Haynes. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Dwight Cupples of Little Rock; brother and sister-in-law, C.E. “Sam” and Audrey Haynes of Hensley; grandchildren, Heath and wife Lindsey Cupples and Hayley Logan; great grandchildren, Hayden Logan and Colt Cupples. She is also survived by numerous other family members and friends. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Monday, August 17, 2015 at East Union Missionary Baptist Church in Hensley with Bro. Paul Roberts officiating. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery in East End. Visitation is also Monday, from 10:00-11:00 A.M., at the church. Memorials may be made to East Union Missionary Baptist Church or Salem Cemetery Association.
