Bachhuber, Helen Ann (Jordahl)Helen Ann left us peacefully at Agrace HospiceCare in Fitchburg, on Monday, August 10, 2015, at age 94. Despite the limitations imposed on her by congestive heart failure, and deep loneliness after the loss of her husband of almost 60 years, John, over the past 10 years, she showed great courage, grace and love for her family in her final years.Helen Ann (known as H.A. by John and close friends) was a graduate of Evansville High School in Evansville, WI and the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. She was the only daughter of Salmer and Hattie (Haugen) Jordahl and sister of Duane, killed in WWII on Christmas Day, 1944. Professionally, H.A. taught business education at Plymouth High School during the war and later at Shawano High School with John, following their marriage in 1945. Some of her happiest moments were with John during winters in Gulf Shores, AL and with her family at reunions and holidays.Helen Ann was raised Lutheran and became Catholic in order to allow her family to have a unified faith. She continually put her marriage first - moving her family to Neenah; Des Moines, IA, and Trumbull, CT and back to Neenah again as John advanced his career. Helen Ann was a long-time member of St. Margaret Mary Church, Neenah, and, with John, assisted in the St Joseph's Food Pantry for 10 Years. Helen Ann was greatly loved and will be dearly missed. She was a beautiful woman of clear faith and straightforward wisdom. Her family was her heart and soul, including 4 sons: Tom (Leslie), Milwaukee; Jack (Paula), Cedar Falls, IA; Jim (Mary), Middleton; Bill (Theresa), New Hartford, CT; 7 grandchildren:Libby, Emily (Charles) Durant, Jay, Jason (Rami), Nicole (Chris) Novak, Cindy (Jessica), and Dan; 3 great grandchildren: Blake, Greta and Lainey; many other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, husband, and brother, Helen was further preceded in death by a grandson: Christopher. The funeral liturgy will be at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, August 20, 2015, at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 620 Division St. Neenah, with Fr. Michael Ingold Officiating. Interment will be in Resthaven Cemetery, Menasha.
