Patricia Ann McMurray, 80, of Rising Sun, IN, passed away at 10:30 PM, Wednesday, May 23rd, at her daughter's residence in Vevay, IN. Ann was born in Aurora, IN on April 27, 1932, a daughter of the late Martha Alice (Bakes) Hamilton Liggett and Alvin Hamilton. She was a member of the Rising Sun Church of Christ and a 1950 graduate of Rising Sun High School. On August 31, 1951 she married Charles McMurray who passed away on June 6, 2011. Ann and Charles were married for 60 years. She was superintendent of Rising Sun Utilities for several years and also had worked for Schenley Distillery in Lawrenceburg, IN. Ann and her husband Charles also owned Danbury's Furniture Store in Rising Sun.
Ann is survived by two daughters, Sue Dickerson (Rod), of Vevay, IN; Michelle Dickerson (Randy), of Vevay, IN; by 4 grandchildren; by 3 great grandchildren; and by 5 step-grandchildren; a brother, David Hamilton (Delberta), of Rising Sun, IN. Ann was preceded in death by her parents, and by her husband, Charles and by a brother, Robert Hamilton.
