Please Note: The year of birth on Cale’s stone is 1878. In his obituary, which I have transcribed below, his date of birth was given as Aug. 9, 1876. On his WWI and WW2 Draft registrations, Caleb Harley Burton stated he was born August 9, 1879. The Social Security Death Index gives his birth date as August 10, 1879. His death certificate gave his date of birth as 8-9-79. I do not know which date is correct, and in keeping with findagrave policy to use the date on the gravestone as the date on the memorial, I am using 1878.
