Carolyn Sue Massey, 62, of College Station, went to be with the Lord on August 3, 2015. A Memorial Service will be held at 5:30 PM on Sunday, August 9, 2015 at Hillier Funeral Home - College Station, 4080 Highway 6 South in College Station. Carolyn was born June 10, 1953 to parents Jimmy and Willie (Strickland) Massey. A 1971 graduate from Kilgore High School, Kilgore, Texas, she went on to attend Dallas Baptist College where she obtained a Bachelor of Science in 1976, graduated from Stephen F Austin with a Master's in Business Education in 1979. She continued her studies at Virginia Tech where she worked on her doctorate. She was very religious in her own way and always had a soft spot in her heart for animals, especially rescue dogs. Carolyn retired from Blinn College as the Dean of Student Services in 2010. In her twenty nine years at Blinn she served as both an instructor and administrator. Blinn College was her family and she made a positive impact on many lives. Carolyn is preceded in death by her parents, Jimmy and Willie (Strickland) Massey. Carolyn leaves behind close family friends and caretakers Michael, Sandra, Allison, and Amanda Schaefer.
