Ocala - Beloved mother and grandmother, 63, died Wednesday, June 6, 2007 at Sylvia's Hospice House in Ocala. Born May 15, 1944 in Hornell, NY., she was a daughter of George and Evelyn Ellis. On July 11, 1964 she married Paul Roberts. Surviving her are her mother, Evelyn; husband, Paul; daughter, Paula of Angelica, NY; son, Fred and his wife Karen; two grandchildren, Michaela and Jason of Salem, Oregon; sister, Barbara Chancas of Ocala; and several nieces and nephews. She was a graduate of Stranahan High School, Fort Lauderdale and Rochester Dental Assisting School, Rochester, NY. She was a certified dental assistant for 21 years. Recently she was head of the fabric department in Hobby Lobby Store in Ocala. She gave of herself to others as a fireman and EMT with Angelica Fire Department assisting with the birth of twins in the ambulance on one occasion; youth director at Summerfield Baptist Church and Pedro Baptist Church; adult choir director at Maranatha Baptist Church. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, June 12, 2007 at 7 p.m. at Pedro Baptist Church with a memorial service this summer in Angelica and burial in Until the Day Dawn Cemetery in Angelica, NY. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Baptist Children's Home, P.O. Box 8190, Lakeland, FL 33802 in her memory. She loved all children.
