Mrs. Victoria Dobbs Rites Held Friday

Funeral services for Mrs. D. Victoria Dobbs of Honey Grove were held at 2:00 o'clock Friday afternoon, July 21, at the Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Chapel. Officiant at the last rites was the Rev. Sam Rice, minister of the Main Street United Presbyterian Church. Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home made interment in Oakwood Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Don Ramsey, John Springer, H. L. Ballew, Charlie Denson, Dan Baker and R. M. McCleary.

Mrs. Dobbs died at 11:15 p.m. Wednesday, July 19, 1961 at the Ramsey Rest Home at Bonham. She had been ill for three months.

A native of Tennessee, Mrs. Dobbs was born June 18, 1877.

Her parents were the late John B. Chandler and Pearline Gibson Chandler.

She was first married to Willie Wilburn on November 15, 1897.

On February 22, 1922, she was married to Albert Dobbs, who preceded her in death in 1941.

She was a member of the McKenzie Methodist Church.

Survivors include a brother Willie Chandler of Honey Grove and several nieces and nephews including Mr. and Mrs. Louie Dalton of Sunnyvale, California.
