Wayne County Outlook

There are two old graveyards that should be given a thorough fixing up by the R.F.C. when they reopen work in the next few weeks.

One is the old Frances or Isbell graveyard at the Henry Eller farm, the first county judge of Wayne County, John Francis, grandfather of W.S. Francis, is buried here, and his grave should be located and a marker erected by the county.

The other is the first County Attorney Rhodes Garth, who is buried at the Bob McKechnie farm, now J. W. Humble. At this date it is nothing but justice that their graves should be located and suitably marked if there are no markers. Mike Taul, the first county clerk, George Michael Stoner, Daniel Boone's friend and companion, about whom an article appears elsewhere in this issue, and many others should be located and some respect should be paid to their memory.
