Herbert A. Dunn, 80, a resident of Illinois Veterans Home in Quincy, died July 17, 2003 at the veterans home. He was born April 7, 1923 in Pleasant View, the son of Clarence Lynol and Rubie Ellen (Kessinger) unn. He married Iva Davis Flynn on May 7, 1946 in Mt. Sterling, IL.
He loved horses and served as ringmaster at the Western Horse Show at the Brown County Fair for more than 30 years.
He was a veteran of World War II, serving as a First Sergeant in the U.S. Army, where he received three Purple Hearts and a Silver Star.
