Carl Wheeler, 77, of Batesburg, passed away Wednesday, August 12, 2015.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, August 15, at Mt. Ebal Baptist Church with interment in the church cemetery with Rev. Bill Paulling officiating.

Visitation with the family will follow after the services at the church. Active pallbearers are James Steele, Frankie Wise, Lester Whitfield, Shawn Connelly, Lever Smith and Glenn Wheeler.

Mr. Wheeler was born in Batesburg, SC son of the late Lever Wheeler and Leona Smith Wheeler. He was a member of Mt. Ebal Baptist Church. He was married to the late Ruby Wheeler loving wife of 52 years. He raised chickens for Columbia Farms.

Surviving are his daughters, Charlene (Craig) Warren; Renee (Jeff) Goff; brothers, Floyd Wheeler and Clarence Wheeler; sisters-in-law, Patricia Shumpert; Brenda Wheeler; and Elaine Wheeler; he has one grandson, Brandon (DJ) Warren and two great-granddaughters, Alyssa and Caylee Warren all of Batesburg. Carl is leaving behind many nieces and nephews who loved and adored him. Carl was predeceased by his sisters-in-law, Annie Mae (Wilton) Clark and Louise Shumpert. He was also predeceased by brothers-in-law, Odell Shumpert and James Shumpert; brothers, William (Ella Mae) Wheeler; James Wheeler; Levi (Vermel) Wheeler; Bill Wheeler; sisters, Mary (George) Smith; and Lorene Wheeler.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Mt. Ebal Baptist Church, 5 Lion Loop, Batesburg, SC 29006.
