GRAHAM - Mrs. Ellen W. Boyd, 65, passed away Wednesday, April 2, 2014, at Alamance Regional Medical Center.
Ellen was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all. She enjoyed traveling, especially to the beach. She retired after 30 years from the Alamance-Burlington School System where she touched many loving students' lives in speech therapy. She was a member of Historic Providence Christian Church in Graham.
Survivors include her husband, Wilson Boyd, of the home; daughter, Beth Prezioso and husband Eric; son, Jason Boyd and wife Krista. She was Granny to Jameson Boyd, Jonas Boyd, Mason Prezioso, Joseph Prezioso and Arabella Prezioso.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Charlotte Wheeler.
The family will receive friends Saturday, April 5, from 6 to 8 p.m. at McClure Funeral Service in Graham, 1030 S. Main St., Graham, NC 27253.
A service will be conducted Sunday, April 6, at 3 p.m. in the McClure Funeral Chapel by the Rev. Darryl Peebles. Burial will follow at Historic Providence Memorial Cemetery.
