It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of beloved mother, daughter, sister and cherished aunt, 48 year old Cynthia Elaine Sutton-Hickman, on Saturday, August 8, 2015. No one can ever take her place. Cindy was the first-born child of Von and Diane Sutton. She was also the beloved first-born grandchild to the Sutton family, with Pop and Mammaw, James and Ruby Sutton, and first grandchild born into the Grogan family, with grandmother, Nan, Janelle Grogan (and deceased grandfather Jack Grogan).

Born June 25, 1967 in Sherman, TX, Cindy received her education and graduated from Sherman High School in 1985. She worked for several businesses in the Sherman area, including Furr's Cafeteria, Tyson Foods and finally for Zodiac Aerospace in Gainesville, where she built seats for most of the major airlines. Cindy loved the assembly line that she worked on and all the people in her area. She looked forward to going to work each day. How many people can say that? She agreed that the Lord had blessed her with that job and all the new friends she made at Zodiac.
And speaking of blessings, the Lord had been dealing with Cindy for the past several years about her soul. She responded by joining the Sherman Church of the Nazarene with her brother Matt and sister- in-law, DeAnn, and their children, Lauren and Landry. She volunteered her time to mix Kool-Aid and pass out cookies at vacation Bible school, register children for Easter egg hunts and poured lots and lots of supplies into the back-to-school outreach. Cindy even called her mother to find out what a "Food Pounding" was, so she could participate in one for their new pastor and his wife.

Cindy married Jerry Hickman on August 7, 1982, and to this union, Robert Steven Hickman was born on August 9, 1988. Cindy and Jerry would later divorce. Robert was the first-born grandchild to both sides of the family which includes Nana, Christene Holley and Papaw, J.W. Holley; great grandmother, Granny; Annie M. Davis; Mimi, Diane Sutton; Papa, Von Sutton, and great grandparents Nan, Janelle Grogan, Pop and Mammaw, James and Ruby Sutton. Robert brought all these family members together to form one great big family for the past 27 years. Our hearts are broken to lose her so early in her young life.

Left with memories include her son, Robert Hickman, Robert's fiance', Cass Grissom; mother and father, Von and Diane Sutton; brother, Bradley Sutton; brother and sister-in-law, Matt and Deann Sutton; niece, Lauren Sutton; nephew, Landry Sutton; aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, James and Ruby Sutton, and Jack and Janelle Grogan.

Funeral arrangements were by Dalton and Son Funeral Home, in Lewisville, Texas.

Cindy suffered from Epilepsy. Her passing was the result of an Epileptic grand mal seizure in her sleep, from which she didn't recover.
