Of Blackwell, Missouri was born Thursday, March 1, 1934 in Cadet, Missouri. She was the daughter of the late, Raymond "Mick" Boyer and the late, Susie Julie (DeClue) Boyer. Edna departed this life on Thursday, August 13, 2015, at her residence in Blackwell, Missouri surrounded by her loving family and friends at the age of eighty-one years, five months and twelve days.
She was united in marriage to Louis A. "Manny" Merseal on November 3, 1951 in Old Mines, Missouri and were blessed with five children.
Edna is survived by three sons, Don and wife, Michelle Merseal of St. Louis, Missouri; Rick and wife, Carol Merseal of Blackwell, Missouri; Tim and wife, Dianna Merseal of Blackwell, Missouri; one daughter, Lucy Merseal of Potosi, Missouri; one half- brother, Tom Boyer of Missouri; one half-sister, Virginia and husband, Nova Hart of Hillsboro, Missouri; ten grandchildren: Matt, Erica, Catherine, Brandon, Jeffrey, Brad, Brian "Bo", Cassie, Dustin and Deanna; eight great-grandchildren and three step-grandchildren; also surviving are many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
In addition to her parents, Edna was preceded in death by her loving husband, Louis "Manny" Merseal, daughter, Catherine Merseal, brothers, Noah Leo Boyer, Leo Sedrick Boyer, Vincent Boyer, half-brother, Mike Boyer and sister, Rachel Boyer.
She was a very faithful and longtime member of St. Joachim Church. She was a very kind hearted woman who was a mother and caregiver to many. Edna was always willing to feed and assist anyone and everyone. She donated a lot of her time including at the Rural Parish Workers quilting. Edna enjoyed finding treasures at yard sales and picking blackberries and strawberries. One of her last good times was a tea party with Edna as the honored guest at the age of eighty-one. Most of all Edna loved her family and spending time with them whenever possible. She will be forever remembered for the love and laughter she shared.
