Funeral services will be conducted Monday for Lawson Hamilton Watkins, 77, who died early Saturday morning at the home of his son, George Watkins, in Iraan.
Services will be held from the Baptist Church in Harper with the Rev. Byron Bryant of San Antonio officiating. Burial will be in Harper Cemetery under the direction of the Jacobsen Funeral Home, McCamey. Exact time of the funeral services has not been announced.
Mr. Watkins, a native Texas, grew up in Gillespie County, moving to Kermit 14 years ago. He has lived in Iraan one year.
He is survived by two sons, George of Iraan, and Wirt of Big Lake; a daughter, Mrs. Ella Muffett on Monroe, La.; a brother, Ted, of Kerrville; four sisters, Mrs. Herb Jones and Mrs. Walter Tarr of Harper, Mrs. Emma Harlan who lives in California, and Mrs. Ella Lee of Quamata Valley.
