Leah Marie Brown, age 13, of Marble, NC passed away Friday, July 31, 2015 at Erlanger Medical Center.
She was a native and lifelong resident of Cherokee County, NC and the daughter of Jamie Mae Pace Bateman of Andrews, NC and the late Ronny Jay Brown. Leah was a member and attended Tomotla Baptist Church and attended Oak Grove Baptist Church in Marble. She attended Murphy Middle School. Leah loved animals and nature. Her hobbies were reading, drawing and crafts. Leah loved everyone.
In addition to her mother she is survived by her brother and sister, Jacob Brown and Jessie Brown; paternal grandparents, Allen and Jessie Brown; maternal grandparents, Maxine and Robert Pace; maternal great grandmother, Ruby Pace and maternal great grandparents, Bonnie and Bud Jones; Uncles and Aunts, Karen Hogsed, Randy and Jimmie Brown and Eric and Crystal Pace; cousins, Katie Hogsed, Colby and Isaac Brown; step-father, Jason Bateman and step-brother, Samuel Bateman.
Funeral Services will be held at 4 PM, Friday, August 7, 2015 at the Tomotla Baptist Church in Marble. Pastor Harold Stiles and Rev. Randall Moss will officiate. Burial will be in the Tomotla Community Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Randy Brown, Colby Brown, Adam Powell, Aaron Powell, Eric Pace, Jamie Smith, Jason Hall and Trent Jones.
