Evelyn D. Geschwend, 90, of Glen Carbon, Illinois died at 6:35 p.m. Wednesday, August 12, 2015, at Anderson Hospital in Maryville. Evelyn was a retired beautician. She was born November 1, 1924 in Edwardsville the daughter of the late George & Norma (Woll) Ammann. She married Joseph Geschwend on July 27, 1946 in Collinsville. He preceded her in death on October 4, 2005. Evelyn is survived by a daughter, Susan Cox & husband, Frank of Glen Carbon; 2 grandchildren, Kurt & Kristin Geschwend; and a nephew, George Geschwend of University City, Missouri. Besides her husband and parents she was preceded in death by a son, Robert J Geschwend and a daughter-in-law, Karen Geschwend. Evelyn was a member of the Women of the Moose in Edwardsville. Visitation will be from 9 am until 11 am Monday, August 17, 2015, at Weber & Rodney Funeral Home. Services will follow at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with Rev. Brad Thomas officiating. Interment will follow at Highland City Cemetery.
