April 03, 1947 - August 13, 2015

U.S. Veteran Troy Jackson, age 68, passed away on Thursday, August 13, 2015 at his home in the Goodwater Community. He was born on April 3, 1947 in the Goodwater Community, OK, the son of Joe Henry Jackson and Vera Verla Evans Jackson.

Troy was a 1964 graduate of Haworth High School. He married his wife, Bobbie in Irving, TX on May 16, 1981. Troy was a veteran of the US Army and he served one tour of duty in Vietnam as an operating room medical specialist. He drove a truck in the Dallas area for 16 years where he was on the Board of Directors of the Union of Transportation Employees for 8 years.

He enjoyed golfing, as well as the challenge of a crossword or jigsaw puzzle. Troy was a member of the Idabel Country Club and the Redland Church of Christ. Troy was a devoted family man. He supported his children in school sports and also coached summer league baseball.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Christina Marie Jackson; and a grandson, Matthew Blake Morgan.

Troy is survived by his wife, Bobbie Jackson of the home; sons and daughters-in-law, Jake and Jessica Jackson of Seminole, OK and Joey and Ashley Jackson of Horatio, AR; daughters and son-in-law, Theresa and Don Procell of Frisco, TX and Kelsey Jackson of Broken Bow, OK; grandchildren, Joshua Procell, Jordan Procell, Case Jackson, Carson Jackson, Wyatt Jackson and Witten Jackson; great-grandchildren, Kambree Procell, Brantlee Procell and Peyton Procell; brother and sister-in-law, Joe Allen and Della Jackson of Durant, OK; a niece, Carla Daggett; a nephew, Jeff Jackson; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Services will be held at 10:30 am on Monday, August 17, 2015 at the Redland Church of Christ with Victor Balagbagan and Jerry Monholland officiating. Interment will follow at the Philadelphia Cemetery in the Goodwater Community.
