Adeline L Valentyn
Formerly of 1512 W. Eighth Street, age 84, died early Wednesday, December 23, 1992 at a local nursing home. She was born December 14, 1908 in Aurora, Illinois, daughter of the late George and Dora (Vanden-Broek) Pompa. Adeline was preceded in death by three beloved husbands: John Ellsworth, John Krieck and Matthew Valentyn. For over 30 years, Adeline was employed by Fox River Knitting Mills. She was also a member of Chapter 404 of the Women of the Moose. Survivors include a step-daughter, Barbara (Shawn) Sullivan, Oshkosh; a brother, Harold (Margaret) Pompa, Appleton; a step-grandson, Michael Sullivan; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three husbands, three brothers: Jacob, John and James; and three sisters: Hattie Brouillard, Isabel Brouillard and Dorothy Simon. The Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 1 1 a.m. Thursday, December 24, 1992 at ST. JOSEPH CATHOLIC CHURCH, 404 W. Lawrence Street. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Park. Friends may call Wednesday (TODAY) from 4 to 8 p.m. at the WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME, 537 N. Superior Street and again Thursday morning from 8 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at which time the cortege will leave for the church. There will be a Women of the Moose Memorial Service at 7:30 p.m. and a prayer and scripture service at 7:45 p.m. tonight at the funeral home. A memorial fund is being established.
