Lois Green, 96, of Factoryville died Dec. 10, 2021, at Allied Services Skilled Nursing Center and Rehab, Scranton. Born in West Abington Twp. On Aug. 3, 1925. She was the daughter of the late James Ira and Bessie Griffin Green.

Lois graduated from Factoryville High School in 1943. She worked for Blue Cross/ Blue Shield, CampHill and Reliance Insurance until retiring in 1988. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Factoryville, the Order of Eastern Star and she enjoyed bowling, gardening, and mowing her lawn. She was an independent lady and was seen many times pushing her mower as late as this Fall.

Lois was preceded in death by two brothers Russell and Ernest, two sisters Helen Green and Mary McCaleb, and two nephews Marlin McCaleb and William Kula.

Surviving are five nieces Charlotte Empet of Kingsley, Mary Elizabeth Kula of Dillsburg, Donna Hall of Clarks Summit, Jo Ann Heckman of Chambersburg, and Susan Shananman McCaleb of Mechanicsburg. She is also survived by several great, great-great, and great-great-great nephews and nieces.

Memorial Service will be Thursday at 4: 30 pm with Pastor Deborah Loessy officiating. Interment at Evergreen-Woodlawn Cemetery, Factoryville. Friends may visit at the funeral home at 3:30 until service time. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Factoryville P.O. Box 366 Factoryville PA 18419 or Factoryville Fire Company P.O. Box 275 Factoryville PA 18419.
