Steve Massie Campbell, 66, of Sherando, passed away on Thursday, August 13, 2015, at his home.

He was born in Augusta County on July 19, 1949.

He graduated from Wilson Memorial High School in 1967 and also received an associate degree in accounting from Blue Ridge Community College in 1980.

Steve worked 45 years for E.I. DuPont and transferred to Invista S.A.R.L. He enjoyed first his family, followed by golf, fishing, and restoring his classic cars.

Steve is survived by his wife of 43 years, Bonnie Sue Campbell; a son Chris Campbell and wife Carla of Warrenton; daughters Brandi Breeden and husband Jimmy of Love, Tessi Cook and husband Jeremy of Stuarts Draft. He is also survived by his mother, Marie Campbell of Lyndhurst; brothers, Mike Campbell and wife Doris of Lyndhurst and Gordon Campbell of Stuarts Draft; sisters Gayle Almarode and husband Eldon of Stuarts Draft, Cindy Wright of Waynesboro, and a brother in law Bob Nicely of Ivy; 10 grandchildren: Lance Marshall, Gabe and Mia Cook, Chasey, Cade, Carsyn, Caitley and Casen Campbell, Makayla and Camden Breeden.

A funeral service will be held at 11 A.M. on Monday, August 17, 2015 at Sherando United Methodist Church with the Reverends Clayton and Sarah Payne officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Sunday, August 16, 2015 at McDow Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to UVA Hope Cancer Care Augusta, 57 Beam Lane Suite 300, Fishersville, VA 22939.
