Ada Solomon Seyle, 91, passed away peacefully at her home on Tybee Island on Wednesday, August 13, 2015 surrounded by her family. Preceded in death by her parents Alexander Perry Solomon Jr., Blanche Willa "Grammy" Solomon, Blanche Jeannette Abbott infant daughter and William F. Donaldson III grandson. Ada is survived by her beloved husband Sam Seyle, her sister Ann Jacobs, son William F "Bill" Donaldson Jr., Step daughters/ caregivers Christy Seyle, Joy Seyle and Jan Mattison. Grandson W.C. Donaldson his Wife Julie, Great Grandchildren Carter Donaldson and Canon Donaldson.Ada was born on Tybee Island the same year the main road opened. As a child she would ring the bell for the fire department announcing a fire. She was a member of American Legion and a volunteer during WWII for Coastline Observer USAF. Ada was also the oldest native on Tybee.Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to Living Care hospice or Savannah Humane Society. Memorial service will be held at Fox and Weeks, Islands Chapel on Hwy 80E Wilmington Island, Tuesday August 18, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. Visitation will be from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. Burial will be at Hillcrest Abbey East Cemetery 1600 Wheaton St.
William F Donaldson, III is also buried at Hillcrest Abbey East Cemetery. "Little Bill" was 18 when he died in a car accident.
