Cassandra Lee Smith, age 25, passed away July 4, 2014. Born July 8, 1988, in Barberton, she was a Walsh College graduate, very active with the Coventry Alumni. She was a cheerleader, and avid volleyball and softball player. Proceeded in death by Great Grandmother Lucile Schaile, Grandparents Robert & Kathleen "Grammie" Pounds, and Esther "Mimi" Smith.
Survived by the love of her life, son Giovanni Lee, Parents Greg & Gale Smith, sister Jessica (soon to be Brother-in-Law Matt Hunter) Smith, nephew Isaac Lee Hunter "Aunt Boom", Grand Father Henry (Sally) Smith, Aunt Val Antoniotti, uncles Andy (Dane), Denny(Lori), Bryan (Tammy) Pounds; Henry, Jeff Smith. Cousins "Thee" Katie (Tommy) Papp, Calvin Antoniotti, Ryan, Henry (Toni), Jacob, Aaron, Luke, Zak, Eli, Samantha Smith; Angie, Tony, Brandy, Shain, Eric Pounds. Father of her son, Mario Micale, and numerous extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to any First Merit Bank Cassandra Smith Memorial Fund.
Funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Wednesday, July 9, 2014, at the Cornerstone Church 578 Killian Rd. Akron, Ohio 44319, Pastor Brenda Young officiating. Calling hours will be from 11:00 am until the time of service at 2:00 pm, Wednesday. Burial at Lakewood Cemetery.
