Helen was a Registered Nurse specializing in Hemo Dialysis. She was very proud of being an RN and all that she accomplished by helping so many, including serving for 8 years in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. She loved to crochet and gardening. Helen was a Christian and was a member of the Trinity Church of the Nazarene in Duncanville and attended the Living Hope Church of the Nazarene in Waxahachie.
She is survived by her children, Donna Shinpaugh of Waxahachie, Ronald Pleake and his wife, Donna Kay of Kaufman, Carl Pleake and his wife, Frankie of Gun Barrel City and Jackie Wineinger of Denison; her sister, Wilmer Ridinger of Ozark, MO; her brothers, Paul Meritt and his wife, Wanda of Kentucky and David Meritt of Washington; she is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.
A memorial visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, August 14, 2015 at Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
