Eva Marie Johnson, 87, of Greenfield, formerly of Dunreith, died July 5, 2005 at Yellow Rose Hospice Center of Methodist Hospital.
Born Jan. 28, 1918 in New Albany, she was the daughter of Emory and Nora (Barker) Yaggi.
She retired from Draper Shade and Screen in Spiceland. She was a 50-year member and past matron of the Order of Eastern Star, a longtime member of Spiceland United Methodist Church and a charter member of the Spiceland Bridge Club.
Survivors include her husband, Creel B. Johnson, whom she married June 7, 1941; son, William "Bill" Johnson of Indianapolis; brothers, Forrest Yaggi of Tobinsport, Maurice Yaggi of Tell City and Emory Yaggi Jr. of Cannelton; one grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Bill and Ralph Yaggi, and sister, Patsy Yaggi.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Spiceland United Methodist Church with Pastor Brian Campbell officiating.
Burial will follow at Circle Grove Cemetery in Spiceland.
Friends may call from noon-1 p.m. Monday at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Spiceland United Methodist Church or the American Diabetes Association.
Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle is in charge of arrangements.
