Mr. Grant was born July 13, 1933 in Swain County to the late Jasper and Luella Grant.
He was a veteran of the US Army, and retired from Drexel Heritage. Frank loved the mountains especially if it had a few patches of ginseng. He also enjoyed being around children, and he will be missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sisters, Lucille Smith and Ruby Mundy.
Frank is survived by his wife of 61 years, Katherine Williams Grant; brothers, Gene Grant, Kenneth Grant, Gerald Grant, and Winfred Grant; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday, August 14, 2015 at 11:00 am at Mountain View Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Mountain View Baptist Church Cemetery.
