William Bayne Gibson was a long time civic leader in DeKalb County. Born in 1888, he was in the mortgage business, working at various times for Penn Mutual Life and the Bayne Gibson Mortgage Company. Bayne Gibson was a past master of Pythagoras Lodge #41, Free and Accepted Masons, and a former president of the DeKalb Historical Society.
