He was born in Candler County and lived in Savannah for many years. He was a member of Savannah Progressive Primitive Baptist Church, and retired from Union Camp Inc. after many years as a digester operator.
SURVIVORS: his wife, Laura Price Hall of Savannah; a brother, Lewis Hall of Marietta; four sisters, Faye Smith of Clover, S.C., Jewel Scott and Zellie Hall, both of Smyrna, and Helen Gillespie of Statesboro; and several nieces and nephews.
FUNERAL: 11 a.m. Friday at Hubert C. Baker Funeral Home, Hodgson Memorial Chapel, burial in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. -Savannah Now, April 2000
