Floyd O. Niemtschk Jr., 22, was found dead in the 16000 block of Second Street in Channelview on Saturday, February 10, 1973 about a block from his residence 16022 First Street, Channelview.
An autopsy was performed at the Harris County morgue but the cause of death had not been released at Sentinel news deadline.
Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Howard-Glendale Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Leroy Smith officiating. Burial was in San Jacinto Memorial Park Cemetery.
Floyd Jr. is survived by his wife, Mrs. Darlene Niemtschk of Houston; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Niemtschk, Sr. of Channelview, a son, Brian Burnett Niemtschk of Channelview; three sisters, Mrs. Bob Clark (Belinda) of Houston, Miss. Brenda Gail and Miss. Teresa Arlene Niemtschk both of Channelview; and four Niemtschk brothers, Doyle Lynn, Wendell Allen, Myral Ivan and Darrell Austin and a number of nieces and nephews.
