Jimmy A. Booker, age 62, of Bryan, Ohio, died on Monday, July 7, 2008, at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne, Indiana. Mr. Booker was a graduate of Feds Creek High School in Feds Creek, Kentucky. Mr. Booker was employed by Spangler Candy Company as a Dum-Dum Supervisor for forty-three years. He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Bryan, Ohio. A veteran of the United States Army, serving during the Vietnam War, he was a member of the Bryan American Legion Post #284, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #2489, and Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge #1064.
Jimmy A. Booker was born on August 18, 1945, in Biggs, Kentucky, the son of Connie and Sadie (Justice) Booker. He married Sheila A. Flynn on February 15, 1969, in Blakeslee, Ohio, and she survives.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Booker is survived by two daughters, Dawn (Rick) Catron, of Goshen, Indiana, and Wendy (William) Koza, of Milan, Michigan, six grandchildren, Morgan and Grace Catron, and Bailey, Hunter, Jimmy, and William Koza. He is also survived by three sisters, Joyce, Frances (Theodore), and Sally (Ron), in-laws, Riki (Mike) Timbrook, Robert (Carol) Flynn, Cheryl (Douglas) Michael, John (Sue) Flynn, Debra (Forrest) Hinkle, Mary Flynn, Charlene Flynn, and Celeste Blinzler, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his grandparents and parents, Mr. Booker was preceded in death by one brother, Tom, and one sister, Gloria.
Services for Jimmy A. Booker will be on Thursday, July 10, 2008, at 10:30 a.m. in St. Patrick Catholic Church, Bryan, Ohio, with Father Charles Ritter officiating. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Blakeslee, Ohio, with grave side military rites conducted by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #2489, Bryan, Ohio. Visitation will be on Wednesday, July 9, 2008, in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, Ohio, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., with a scripture service at 7:30 p.m.
