Steven L. Armstrong, 71, of Wymore, and formerly of Beatrice, passed away at the Wymore Good Samaritan Center Wednesday night, July 22, 2015. He was born on June 2, 1944 in Beatrice, Nebraska, the son of Glen and Doris Leona (Upton) Armstrong.
Steven was a graduate of Beatrice High School. He had lived in Virginia, NE and Beatrice before moving to Wymore due to failing health. Steven had been in the Nebraska National Guard for several years. He was a member of the American Lutheran Church in Filley, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and sports (especially football).
Survivors include: sister, Connie Montgomery and husband Robert Sr.; niece, Kimberly Gentry and husband Michael; and nephew Robert Montgomery Jr. and wife, Cindy.
He was preceded in death by his father, Glen Armstrong and mother, Doris Leona (Upton) Armstrong Shultz.
Funeral services on Monday, July 27, 2015 at the Griffiths-Hovendick Chapel in Beatrice with Pastor LuRae Hallstrom officiating. Interment in the Filley Cemetery.
