Services for Wilber Lewis Rasberry, 85, of Mansfield, Texas, who retired from General Dynamics after 34 years, and died Saturday, January 4, 2014, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 7, 2014, at the Lacy Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Dan Murray officiating. Burial will follow at West End Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Monday, January 6, 2014, at Lacy Funeral Home.
Wilber was born in Erath County, Texas, on May 7, 1928, to John A. and Eula (White) Rasberry. He married Winnie Evelyn Prater on February 17, 1950, in Comanche, Texas. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Stephenville, Texas. He served in the National Guard for six years. He was member of the Tabernacle Masonic Lodge for over 50 years and the Scottish Rite.
Survivors include his wife, Winnie Evelyn Rasberry of Mansfield, Texas; son, Alan Rasberry and wife, Shirley, of Mansfield, Texas; his brother, Travis Dale Rasberry and wife, Melba, of Dublin, Texas; grandchildren, Angela Roberts and husband, James, of Poland, and Britni Nichole Kaylor and husband, Jacob, of Arlington, Texas; and six great-grandchildren, Ella Roberts and Macie Roberts of Poland, Pam Roberts of Round Rock, Texas, Katelyn Kaylor, Jadyn Kaylor and Bryn Kaylor all of Arlington, Texas. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Sheryl Ausland, a sister, Lola Mae Crouch, and brothers, Clarence Rasberry and Cecil E. Rasberry.
