The funeral of D. Alonzo Cornwall, who died suddenly at his home on South Locust street on Monday evening will be held at the home on South Locust street this Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Rev. F. L. Hanscom, pastor of the Congregational church, will officiate , and fellow employees of the DeKalb-Sycamore Electric company will act as pallbearers. The remains will be interred in the family lot in Elmwood cemetery.

After working all day Monday and after supper, and appearing in his usual health, Lon Cornwall returned home shortly after 9 o'clock, and while preparing to retire gasped and sank to the floor, and died in a few minutes.

He was born on the homestead farm north of this city on July 22, 1866, a son of Thomas and Anna Elizabeth Cornwall, natives of England, and early residents of this township and city.

He leaves surviving his wife and five children: Mrs. Tom Henigan, Harry Cornwall of California; Ed Cornwall and Miss Laura Cornwall and a stepson Fred K. Kiest of Iowa; and three Brothers, Byron of Elgin, William of Kansas and Fred of Sycamore. A sister, Mrs. Martha Winters, died several years ago. He also leaves surviving six grandchildren. Mr. Cornwall was a member of the Modern Woodmen.
