HELEN JOANN BROWN

Helen Joann Brown, 83, peacefully passed away on Friday, August 7, 2015 in Vancouver, Washington. She was born on November 10, 1931 in Camas, Washington to Gerald and Helen (Duncan) Craig. A lifetime Camas-Washougal resident in Washington State, Helen was a graduate of Camas High School in Camas, Washington, where she played the trumpet in the high school band.

She met the love of her life, George B. Brown, while working at the Liberty Theater in Camas, Washington.

Helen and George were longtime members at St. John's Presbyterian Church in Camas, Washington, and enjoyed traveling to all of the beaches along the Oregon coast. Helen enjoyed sewing, raising her children, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She will be loved and missed by all who knew her.

Helen is survived by her sons, Michael (Kathy) Brown, Douglas (Laurie) Brown, and Bradley (Karen) Brown; brother, Jerry (Darlene) Craig; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 63 years, George B. Brown, in 2014.

There was a celebration of Helen's life on Saturday, August 15th, 2015 at Straub's Funeral Home, 325 NE 3rd Avenue, Camas, WA 98607. Private vault interment was held at the Washougal Memorial Cemetery in Washougal, Washington.

Donations in Helen's name may be sent to the American Alzheimer's Association.
